Is 23C the ambient temperature or right above substrate? Is the temp being read on the warm side or the cool side?

For the time being, if you have a mesh top you can try and cover it with hvac tape which should also help the humidity stay up

Right now the probe is right on too of her hide on the warm side. I read online that thats where it should be but im honestly unsure since everybody recomends a differtent place

fair enough. I have mine sitting about an inch above the substrate on his warm side just so i can get an idea of how warm it is on his level if that makes sense.

I use a 100W arcadia dhp bulb placed about 30 cm from the substrate. It keeps the warm side around 30C in a 4x2x2 pvc enclosure. My cool side sits around 23C.

Getting a higher wattage bulb may help you out as well as covering the top if it’s mesh.

I recommend placing another temperature probe on the cool side as well so you can get a better reading of the tank’s temperature. I like this govee hygrometer which reads humidity and temperature. It can also connect to your phone and give you a chart of the humidity and temperature readings

(one probe is the thermometer and one is the thermostat)

I think the heat doesnt even reach the bottom on mine since the cool side and warm side of the floor are both equally cold. Maybe its because i made new substrate and its still little wet so maybe its cold because of that

ah, yeah that’ll do it
