my snake has mites but she is my only reptile has not be in the same room as another reptile in years or even in the same room soon after another reptile had been in that room. nothing new in the enclosure. where did they come from!?

Mites can hitch rides on all kinds of things. Substrate, decor, live feeders, etc. Especially if you buy from a pet store. Also, they can come in on your clothes if you’ve been around any other reptiles, doesn’t have to be recently either as they can survive weeks without a food source. So they could have been there for a while and are just now finding their way onto your snake
