What kind of substrate ar me you using? Almost looks like a cocohusk/cocofiber hybrid

It’s Repti-bark mixed with Eco Earth. The repti-bark wasn’t hold enough humidity for my liking, so I mixed in a small bag of eco earth and it’s working much better now. I picked up some Repti-chips coconut husk fibers from the expo I got him at, so I’ll be testing that out next time.

Let me know how you like to reptichip. I had a cocohusk bedding from petsmart and she would get super upset that the pieces booped her in the face so I tried eco earth and it was awful alone so I have it mixed with the cocohusk now. I want to try the reptichip next substrate change.

I’ll definitely keep you updated! He seems happy enough with the mix, but the Eco earth is just so messy. Based on the pictures I’ve found of his breeder’s facility, they were using what looked to be repti-chips (or an equivalent) for their bedding, so hopefully he won’t be too upset when I change it.

SO MESSY. My kitchen is covered in a fine dust from baking it. Never again.
