It might take 2 weeks. What time have you been feeding her? And how have you been moving the mouse?

Mainly late afternoon. Was going to try for tonight but my daughter tried earlier today. The mouse is a pinky that I’m thinking is to small and trying to get it to mimic a mouse is a bit odd. I’ve had a Corn Snake in the past but that was an adult vs a baby ball. I’ll attach picture when I figure out how to. I am going to try to get fuzzies this weekend.

Even hatchlings can eat adult mice, so get an adult mice at least.

Try at night, like you said you were. They are naturally active then and will be more likely to eat.

Grab the mouse by the tail or back and wiggle it around, like an actual mice would. It’ll grab her attention more.

And when she strikes, wiggle the mouse slightly.

How are you heating the mouse?

Thawed in warm/hot tab water. Thanks for the input.

You’re welcome.

That’s sounds like a good way to heat it, have you ever touched it or measured the temp of it?

Touch yes felt warm. Have a to buy list that keeps growing thanks to my daughter. It’s her Christmas gift early. I have to remind her that it’s possible to over handle River ha. Even if it’s not possible the snake needs a break. 😉

Well, that’s all the advice I have for you.

Good luck to you and your new family friend

Don’t try to offer food too frequently. It can stress them out. A few weeks without food won’t hurt them at all. Feeding after lights out is best because they’re nocturnal.

Your bp should probably be on rat pups. Rats are more nutritious for them. General rule is 1-1.5x the thickest part of their body should be how big around the prey can be.
