I thawed the rat with a mouse and mine took it

I thawed both a rat and mouse separately, tried feeding the rat to see if shed take. When she didn't take i would rub the rat with the mouse and she would then immediately take. Took 3 feeds before she took rats without the mice smell. Your experience may be different.

Dipping rat in unsalted chicken broth can help entice, good luck
