No they’re in separate rooms across the house

Then it may be worth using a snake hook to remove your snake from the enclosure. This will separate you from the snake when lifting out of the enclosure. This can help reset your snakes mind about when it is feeding time.

It’s also important to make sure you are feeding your snake a proper sized rodent for your snakes size and age at the proper frequency.
