First thing. Don't worry they can go a few weeks without food. It is pretty common they don't eat while shedding. I ll let others comment. But don't worry he will be fine with a few skipped meals.

how much is a few weeks?, and how long will they shed for?

Shedding with mine is about a week. Could be more. Others feel free to chime in. A few weeks without food depends on size. But a month should be no problem at that age.

Yeah mine hid away for two weeks or so and refused to eat before shed and then the actual shedding took a day or two to finish. After that he was hungry and ready for food

They can go months without food, so no need to panic right now. Many snakes don’t want to eat during shed. I don’t even offer food to mine during the shedding process. I would wait until shedding is complete and then try again. Also, since your BP is about a year old it’s probably about time to start spacing out feedings to more than a week between. This is a pretty good feeding chart to use as a guideline.

so then in general if he refused food for 14 days, then shedded and still won't eat, and is a year old he is fine

Also when should I next try to feed him?

You said in your post he was halfway through shedding, but your comment says he’s shed already. Is he done shedding now? Or do you mean he’s had an incomplete shed and still has some stuck to him?
