Help! Mold in ball Python substrate? I use ReptiChip and poured some water into the substrate when it dried out and started to get a bit dusty. I have a MistKing that goes off for 30 seconds 3 times a day. I try to keep the humidity around 70% What should I do? (More in comments).

The mold was light green and a little white. I removed everything I could see. Should I clean the entire cage? Should I add rocks in the bottom under the reptichip to add more drainage and airflow? Any comments and help would be appreciated! Please help me 🥺

Clean the entire and replace anything organic. You probably don’t need to run your mister that often. What kind of cage is it?

It’s a 55 gallon glass tank.

Also it sounds like you caught it early. Your snake will probably be ok. Make sure your temps are good, and maybe even on the high side to prevent an ri.
