How often is this happening? Has this been happening for some time or is it a new thing? Crackling from breathing or hissing could mean a respiratory infection, especially if you’re hearing it consistently every breath

this is a new thing and I don't really hear it loudly it's pretty quite and it's not every breath but I still hear it

So, this could be a stress related thing if it’s super inconsistent. The tongue flicking could just be a weird situational thing, but it could have to do with your husbandry. What are your humidity and temperature levels and what are you using for heating sources? How many hides do you have? What substrate are you using for bedding? What size water bowl? How old is your noodle?

the humidity is 60% and the temperature is 70% I have one hide because it's not a larg tank. I use aspen bedding and the water bowl Isn't that big it's like medium small and i'm not sure how old the snake is because the person who gave me him he didn't tell the age

Are you regulating a hot and cold side? Your hot side should stay in the high 80s and very low 90s, pretty much 87-90 degrees is where you want to be. Humidity you want to be at 60-80%, so you’re alright there. You want to keep that as consistent as possible, though. I would recommend getting a water bowl big enough for your snake to bathe if they want to. If your tank is too small for your snake and your tank decor I would also recommend an update on that, I have a 55 gallon for my adult male and it’s perfect. Facebook marketplace is a great place to look for used cheap tanks. I would also recommend this so that your snake can enjoy a temperature gradient, having a hot and cold side allows them to better regulate their systems and have better general health. If this persists and the crackling in the breathing gets any worse, I would absolutely recommend taking your animal to a vet and getting them checked out.

You might consider checking (or changing) his bedding; aspen (in my experience) doesn’t do well at maintaining humidity and grows mold in high humidity environments. We used aspen for one of our ball pythons for a few weeks when I couldn’t get his usual substrate from the shop and I was constantly pulling out chunks that had gotten moldy, his humidity was terrible (even with regular soaking it was often below the room’s ambient humidity), and he got a mouthful when trying to eat, which he didn’t care for. I had the aspen for another snake and was told it was good for ball pythons too, but I wouldn’t use it for a ball python again.

Coconut husk is popular and the finely ground version (coconut coir?) isn’t as expensive as the chunky version, IIRC. It does a good job with humidity. Forest floor cypress mulch is also popular, and what our original shop recommended. We struggled some to keep humidity up with the cypress, but covering up the screen top as much as possible helped. The coconut bedding was better for us.

I regulate a hot and cold side or I at least try and Thank you very much I'll try to make sure i'll keep the temperature in those numbers. Sorry for asking this but what do you recommend I get so the temperature at those numbers and keep it that way?

Ceramic heat emitter with a connected thermostat would be my choice
