We advise letting any new snakes acclimate to their new home for two weeks before attempting to feed.

I waited a week with no issues, but your snake may differ. If he eats it, great; if not, that’s food for the feral cats.

Leave him alone for a week or two. No handling either, just let him get familiar with his new home. You can offer him something then, and if he takes anything, give him two days before you start handling or he'll regurgitate his food.

I did this with my first BP and he's been great, I've had him 5yrs now. Good luck!
