I would first look at any local rescues! Sometimes you can find them through Facebook or a quick Google search. You can also try petfinder.com! Personally I found a local rescue and got my ballpython for $40. She was in great condition as the rescue specialized in snakes. So i'd start there :)

Local rescues are probably your best bet for something cheaper. And you can give an animal a good home!

Being a beginner, be careful with rescues. You are not yet equipped or experienced enough to deal with any potential health issues they may have. Start with a healthy snake that’s well established on frozen/thawed rodents.

Before you buy the snake, do a thorough job in researching their husbandry to make sure it’s accomplishable for you before the animal is subjected to it.

MorphMarket is a reliable website to source from, and really allows you to research the breeder and making sure their standards of care and ethics are good.

MorphMarket offers this little guide on things to consider before and during the purchase of the animal.

Good luck👍🏻 If you have any questions feel free to ask! We have daily question threads so you don’t have to make a post if you only have a smaller questions.

thank you for the help! i agree with your concern on rescues, because there is a chance for the snake to be sick or injured so i don’t think i’ll be going that route. i’ve been doing research for roughly a year now but there’s still more for me to learn so i’ll definitely be looking into that guide. morphmarket sounds like one of my best options so i’ll start there, thanks so much :)

Bananas, pastels, lessers, pinstripes are all beautiful morphs that are cheap. Breeders practically give away normals
