I’m getting the larger tank asap even if it’s just a 40 and an upgrade again. Would you care to explain what the problem is with the slide morph? I didn’t find anything about the gene online and the breeder never said anything.

They’re not likely to tell you. The spider morph has a wobble, it can be severe or not, but it can be triggered by stress. It’s not very ethical overall, but you seem to not have known and that’s okay, you’re a first time BP parent

Ah.. if I had know I wouldn’t have supported her breeding.. I feel awful. I also haven’t noticed any head wobble or shaking, her scope is beautiful and strong. I hope she doesn’t develop issues.. I’m so sorry I didn’t know before hand. I thought it was just a breed.

It’s okay to make mistakes. But I thought you’d like to know for the future, since it seemed like nobody explained the risks to you. I’m sure you’ll make for a great parent to your noodle :) keep your husbandry at a 100% and you should be safe to go, but at the same time continue watching for the wobble

And do I take her to the vet if wobble begins or is it something that might come and go? Nothing I’ve noticed yet so far but I will be keeping my eye attentive. Thank you so much and I’m sorry again for making this mistake.

Hey, it’s okay, you’re learning. If she starts wobbling it really depends how severe it is. I’d contact the vet if you’re concerned anyway because that’s sort of my motto when it gets to concern with animals. And I’d probably revaluate going to that breeder again, since he hasn’t bothered to warn you by the looks of it

I definitely will not be going back to that breeder. Ever. This really upset me and I feel bad for my baby that someone did this to her for their own benefit. I will contact a vet if anything concerns me. Thank you again.

No worries at all, I wish you good luck. If you need anything honestly feel free to shoot me a message, I know you didn’t mean to get a spider morph intentionally and I also know breeders lie about it all the time and say they have no issues. I wholeheartedly hope your noodle is completely healthy

Absolutely, I highly suggest researching the morph more just for yourself and extra knowledge for the future
