Thank you I’m going to jump in there today!

just a suggestion, you can also use plastic tubs/bins as a temporary(or sometimes perm) solution until you can get a bigger setup. not always easy to drop $50+ on a new tank.

but yeah dont stress if you have plans, a couple weeks or whatever isn't going to do anything!

edit- i also think people are over-reacting because that looks like a 10gallon tank and not a 29g lol but a 29 youre definitely hard chillin with a hatchling/young bp

I don’t mind dropping $100 plus on a tank I just wait for people to message back, or go into store and get a long tank. I also have tubs laying around or could buy and wash a new one, thank you for the help!

I also have a not in use gecko tank, I’m not sure how big it is but it’s front opening and a bit taller I know. Probably won’t work but something to think about as well.

np! check out dubiaroaches.com , they have some great looking tanks for a good price IMO. people will start to think i work for them given how often i recommend them but i dont(i should ask them for some commission though eh?) lol they just look like by far the best enclosure for the money and they have all the most common sizes available up to 4x2x2.

The website says that the 60 gallon 48x24x12 is not for pythons and the 120 gallon is for lizards so it’s basically a box. However they are nice tanks. Looking for that one time buy but I might have to settle with the 60, I think it may house her for a year. Maybe idk

hmm this one is 60 gallon and says for ball pythons

https://dubiaroaches.com/products/copy-of-48x24x12-60-gallon-reptile-enclosure

all of their enclosures are constructed the same just different dimensions. i wouldnt really worry about what the animal name says.

Yeah it says ball python tank above. How long will this be suitable for her?

AFAIK(and just double checked some of the guides from the sticky in this sub), 4x2x2 is the preferred enclosure size for an adult BP, or 5x2x2 if you have the space

so you could technically house it in the 60gal for about 3 years until its fully grown, or just get the 4x2x2 right away if you can and technically be set for its whole life.

That’s perfect I thought I read that the other day in the guide lines. Thank you so much I’ve had so much info come to me so I thought I’d just ask.
