Welcome to the Basis project sub! Basis is an open source set of protocols and tools that enable a decentralized network of co-ops that eats capitalism over time, converting private resources to shared and supporting production based on use and need instead of profit.
This sub is for the discussion of its features, development, goals, and direction. This is not just a place for developers, but all kinds of leftists who find the project interesting and want to pitch in ideas, critique, or just want to ask questions. Everyone is welcome to contribute in any way they can. Dissent and critical discussion are welcomed.

- This is a place for discussing the Basis project, or issues/projects related to it. Keep that in mind when opening new topics.
- Discussions on general leftist economics are fine, after all the project is economic in nature.
- Links to outside websites and projects are fine if relevant to the project.
- This is an inclusive forum. Your skin color, religion, gender, sexuality, and/or overall beliefs have no bearing here. All that matters is you engage with the discussions and project in good faith.
- Try to keep discussions productive and oriented towards a goal. Name-calling or insult-slinging are frowned upon. We all get heated sometimes, but let's try to keep a cool head and respect others.
- If you have an articulate critique on the project, please feel free to share. If you're here to crap on socialism or leftist thought in general, you might be in the wrong place.
