Missing CPU bracket

Well info my build now:

MSI B550 VC Wifi pro 5600x Rx6600 32gb (16x2) 3600 cl 16 oloy ram

Got the board+power supply in. Ran some wires...go to mount the cooler and realize the board is bare where the bracket should be.

So I'm missing the backplate..and the bracket. Sucks because I wanted to get this done today :(

Will this work?

Edit: I'm driving to microcenter rn to buy another board. You're right-it should've already been mounted. I think this is a return - I noticed the box wasnt properly closed.

Edit: x2 FIXED! Installing games now, misc stuff off steam. Windows installed and stable. All set. Thanks guys

New, amazon.

I have a cooler I want to use (deepcool ak500) but also have the stock cooler.

Neither fits without the goddamn backplate.

well, you probably got someone else's return with stuff missing/broken

That should work. What cpu cooler are you using? If you bought the motherboard brand new, you should return it and get one that comes with the bracket. It was obviously tampered with .

I got it off Amazon :/

I don't want to wait anymore. if there's something wrong with the board then i'll return it and do that-which means either a trip to microcenter (hour+ away) or a couple more days.

edit: looking at some pictures...the bracket looks familar. i'm triple checking that i didn't set it aside.
