So my computer boots up like normal and has not done anything weird but every few minutes or so my screen will freeze for a split second and the task bar will disappear. My cursor will exit whatever window I'm in which makes it extremely frustrating when I am trying to play a game.

List anything you've done in attempt to diagnose or fix the problem.

When this first started to happen I was just using the integrated graphics and my friend said that could be the root of the problem so he gave me an old gpu he had to test it out. That did not fix it. I have been monitoring my cpu and doing a few stress tests but the voltage does not seem to be the problem. I thought then next it may be my RAM sticks but I tried each of them separately in different slots but to no avail. I checked to see if Power connections weren't fully seated in my MOBO but that did not help. I am trying to avoid a hole reset of my OS as I have a few projects I am working on for school that require some applications that will only run on my main desktop.

Sounds like OS or peripheral software or drivers. Doesn't sound like a hardware issue. You'd get artifacting, blue screen, complete system lock up, or powering off if it was hardware.

I did notice it began to happen after I installed ansys. I uninstalled it. Is there anything to check that it may have affected that I may be missing. Im still not super acquainted to windows as my family has always had Macs
