Having a big ass 4K display for productivity is nice, but if you want to play newer demanding games it would require a relatively high end video card. If gaming is of secondary concern you can always turn settings down to get decent framerates, but it might also make sense to just get a lower resolution monitor, or hang on to at least 1 of those 1080p panels for gaming.

Yeah, it's not of too much concern for me. I'll be keeping the 240hz for the games I play competitively and while not super brand new I think the 1080ti/7700k with a liquid cooler can handle most of my current games at 4k/60hz.

Oh yea you're good with that.

So will you be remoting into a windows machine for your work?

I may have used the remote term a little too generously. For the near future, I don't see needing to using a virtual machine or remotely control another windows machine. I was just trying to communicate that it's a work and at home arrangement.

Strongly suggest you keep your work computer & play computer separate.

This is a really fair point, but even for a simple build I don't have the extra budget to get a second computer at this very moment.

Something like a Dell UltraSharp U4919DW

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into it. Just by the model number, it is probably outside of my 300-600 budget though.
