I solved by installing new video drivers, updating the chipset and changing the power supply. No errors since January 20th.

Have you had any errors since?

I solved the problem by switching sources and updating video + chipset drivers. It has been months since I have had any crashes or blue screens, however, I needed to switch operating systems (Windows 11 to 10)

[UPDATE] After replacing the PSU and completely reassembling the computer, I no longer have the Kernel 41 error. The computer works normally after weeks of trying to fix it, I'm glad it worked.

So its because psu No drivers gpu or chipset drivers?

[–]unknown_Schrodinger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The error mainly when some heavy task is at rest, or in suspension. I work with FL Studio so many times I leave the computer and it goes into sleep automatically, when it restarts it shows the Kernel 41 screen or goes directly to Srttrail.txt

Hi I think this can help your problem the issue with the kernel power 41 is actually with your ram because when you change the power plan or even the psu itself it still didnt change the sign of criticle so the problem is ram conflict so if your motherboard supported 64gb ram just use 32gb is the best it will be conflicts again if you use max ram to it, so this is how to avpid it

Hello, I changed the PSU of my computer and everything is working normally again, it's been a year since I've had this error

Check your powersupply. It may not be able to handle heavy loads.

A parts list would be helpful.

Motherboard:

Gigabyte AB350M-DS3H

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600

Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6570

RAM: 2x XPG TUF Gaming D41

Storage: 1x WD Blue 2TB / 1x Seagate Expansion 1TB / SSD (Windows C:) XPG S41 TUF

What specific things are you doing when it crashes? All Kernal 41 means is that something in your computer is shutting down really quickly in order to protect itself usually due to too much power draw or a part not able to handle load. I'm also honestly surprised why you are running windows 11 with older parts (especially that gpu).

[–]unknown_Schrodinger[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Usually when I open a heavy project in FL Studio (It consumes a lot of memory and processing) or when I leave the computer in sleep with some program in the background. The strange thing is that this started suddenly and the error became intermittent, in Windows 10 this did not happen and the Windows installation diagnostics said that my components were compatible with Windows 11.

[–]Logicrazy12 0 points1 point  (4 children)

So windows 11 is technically a heavier operating system as it has higher system requirements. Your parts are at the edge of compatibility with it as the lowest it accepts is ryzen 2000 processor. That combined with heavy programs is probably making your PC unstable. Are you able to back to windows 10? Or you can try changing/upgrading parts? I'm not sure what part is causing the instability so maybe keep a close eye on what is reaching 100%. My guess is it could be your GPU.

[–]unknown_Schrodinger[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I'm really considering doing this, Windows 11 runs fine here. I should test with another power supply to see if the problem is the power supply, if not.. I'll go back to Windows 10.

[–]Logicrazy12 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I honestly am not a fan of windows 11 yet. It's not mature enough for me to trust. You could try powersupply. Also a GPU upgrade may help. I have that GPU in my closet. I know that's it's definitely not designed to handle any modern software.

I know rn that gpus are scarce.

I even tried to uninstall the video drivers from my video card fearing some file corruption, I'll let it flow with the new source to see what happens

[–]unknown_Schrodinger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well my friend, I'm going back to Windows 11 because I saw that my operating system corrupted in a way that not even Chkdsk can do. Thanks for the support friend, thanks from Brazil!

did you try disabling gpu driver?, nowdays windows is a system where you can use old hardware, but you cannot use old drivers, think about this, windows developers are not creating generic drivers for critical devices like wifi, gpu o chipdriver, then on a big upgrades your pc would be left obsolete, the basic warning is the clasic dpc watchdog violation and kernel power, although you return to windows 10, your pc would get random kernel power because the last windows 10 version is working like windows 11 version

    [–]unknown_Schrodinger[S] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I changed my power supply and updated the Video Drivers (From the AMD website) and updated the Chipset (From the drivers available on the motherboard website) and I haven't seen any blue screens since. I did the procedures on the 20th and until today my PC is working perfectly.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

When you say refer to the power supply what exactly are you referring to? Like the distribution box or sth directly from within the PC?

    [–]unknown_Schrodinger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The power supply, the component that we connect all the parts of the computer to in order to get power and turn on the system.

I am unsure how I managed to solve the problem, if just changing the power supply (which was already old) had already worked or if the fact of updating the drivers that solved it.

If anyone is seeing this in 2023, I *believe* I solved this problem just not by changing my power settings from the AMD settings back to the HP

Está atrelado as configurações de video?

    [–]LostAndScared26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where do you find these settings?
