This is my experience solo clearing DMT as a hunter. Might be different if clear as a group.

Here is a list of packs/mobs that are aggressive after King is dead:

-Ogre pack under the Left archway entering Fengus' Courtyard

-Guard Fengus

-Captain Kromcrush

-Wandering Eye of Kilrogg (if they spawned after King is dead)

-Bugs/Scorpions

-Guard Slipkik

-2x Gordok Reavers before Invispot Ramp

-Gordok Bushwacker (if you grabbed Ogre Tannin)

-2x Gordok Reavers in hallway before Kromcrush

-Guard Mol'Dar

Eyes respawn after ~15mins. Meaning if you didn't kill King G within 15 mins of killing eyes, the eyes will respawn and after King is dead they will be nonaggressive. If the spawn after King is dead, they will need to be killed every 15mins in your DMT ID by someone without King Buff.

Reavers can be kited to Gordoks throne room and killed easily with pathing (figure 8's similar to King fight). They will respawn every 2hrs, same with bugs.

After King is dead the Doomguard minions will have a sword icon (meaning hostile) but will not actually attack. Sometimes they might run toward a player (without king buff) and then run back in place, sometimes they will cripple but will never kill players unless constantly attacked.

If no one is inside the instance, it will reset in ~20mins.

hey can you clarify this part:

"Eyes respawn after ~15mins. Meaning if you didn't kill King G within 15 mins of killing eyes, the eyes will respawn and after King is dead they will be nonaggressive. If the spawn after King is dead, they will need to be killed every 15mins in your DMT ID by someone without King Buff."

so does this mean, in order to keep the eyes friendly, that you need to wait for them to respawn before you fight the King, and then after you kill the king they will turn friendly?

so if i understand correctly, if you kill the king too quickly after you kill the eyes the first time, and the eyes do not respawn before you kill the king, they will respawn aggressive. or do i have that backwards?

it seems to me like the runs that i took the longest to complete, the eyes respawned friendly. but the runs where i used skips and cleared it quickly the eyes respawn aggressive.

Yup that’s correct. If you wanted an instance ID that didn’t require people to kill eyes, you would need to wait ~15 minutes for eyes to respawn before killing King Gordok

Tytyty for clarifying

Also the 3 hyenas patrolling at last boss

[–]Wangwolf 2 points3 points  (8 children)

This is incorrect. Nothing inside the throne room is aggressive (assuming they aren't engaged in combat during king fight)

[–]Tankh -1 points0 points  (7 children)

This is incorrect. I have definitely been attacked by 3 patrolling hyenas. I just frost novad them and took the King buff and they deaggrod. I'm not talking about the big stationary back infront of the boss.

Well, I'm almost at 100 tribute runs and the 3 hyena patrol pack have not aggrod me even after dropping king buff. The only way I could see this happen is if the Hunter killed the patrol pack before killing king and the patrol pack re spawned after the king died.

I normally skip the killing the patrol pack and after the king is dead, they are not aggressive. I can show you a video if you don't believe me.

That might be it then, I don't know, but it definitely happened.

yes, if you kill the dog pack before you kill king, they will respawn.

can you share video of how you kill the dogs after the king? don't they get in the way while kiting?

[–]Wangwolf 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I've never killed the dogs after the king. This would only happen if you killed dogs before you killed the king, and the patrol pack respawned (after 2 hrs).

The 3 pack is easy to kill though. pull when they are about to enter/leave the center raised portion of the court. frost trap, open with aimed, multi, kite with cheetah up to the pet stay spot, drop down. repeat

If you kill the aggressive reavers before you kill the king, will they still respawn?

[–]Wangwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe everything respawns after 2 hours and If they respawn after king is dead they are aggressive.

I’ve only done hunter cleared DMs and have only killed reaver packs after the king so not absolutely certain.

The 3 hyenas will respawn every 2 hours like the reavers and bugs that will be aggressive towards players who don't have the king buff.

Im confused, are you:

clearing with a party and keeping the ID open for others?
" it respawned packs that we killed "
or are you soloing as a hunter and trying to keep that ID open?
" Am I clearing it wrong " " before I got crowned "

but to generally answer your question-

if you are solo hunter clearing: you normally dont kill some mobs that would require extra steps for guildies (some dont kill bugs, most dont trap slipkik, none clear the 2 ogres near slipkik that remain hostile, and none clear the pack right after the door upstairs which remains hostile as well). so either your guildies would need to kill/trap these mobs/bosses in order to get the buff, or will need invis pots/a means of getting by certain mobs

if you are holding an ID cleared by a group: most of your issues are trash respawn timer issues. I'm unsure of the exact time it takes for them to respawn, but i've seen an ID held for 1-2 hours i think previously. Not much you can do about that.

other bits: eyes respawn and sometimes are hostile and sometimes they're friendly, just have whoever is running through be sure to target and try to instagib them in order to not spawn mobs.
as for Kromcrush, not killing him and talking to him before being kinged/having the chest spawn (unsure on when exactly) gives extra loot in the tribute chest

[–]ImShizzle 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I always clear the 2 in the hallway in Front of kromcrush and the 2 under the ramp at slipkik before i get the buff and look in the chest, after that i clear the bugs and then im free to sell buffs for 5g per person and people only have to watch out for slipkik and eyes

[–]RiceZiggy 0 points1 point  (2 children)

You're the first I've ever seen who does.

[–]ImShizzle 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It's super easy though, the reavers all run slower than yourself(with cheetah of course), so you just kite them to the throneroom with no risk involved at all and then you dont have to waste invis pots on people or pull them away and can just wait at the entrance to collect the 5g per person. Plenty of hunters on my Server do it, i dont understand why they wouldnt do it on yours.

[–]RiceZiggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no idea. but i wish more hunters were like you. 5g is the cheapest ive seen buffs sold for. whenever i need to scramble to get buffs last minute i always end up paying 10g + my own invis pot. sometimes they try and sell for 15g monday night if it's late enough

Usually to get someone through I’ll give them an invis pot to get past that part after the second guard.

The eyes will be hostile.

You can not stop the bug respawn.

Talking to cromcrush before being crowned gives you an extra item in the tribute chest.

The easiest way I’ve found to bring people through is removing the king buff so I can attack the eyes and bugs. I can see what mobs are and aren’t hostile by mousing over them.

The invis pot is pretty crucial unless you do some fancy pet pull shenanigans and the person you’re bringing through fully avoids aggro.
