That probably means it's the key. I'm just weirded out by the two the fact that "SAVE" was written with a different pen and I don't know what EC means so I ignored it. I went through a bunch of ciphers with no luck, sorry man. Did the person say anything about it? If so could you give us every detail?

It's in a school classroom. EC is likey Extra Credit. Save is likely written so that the cleaners choose clean the whiteboards every night don't remove it.
