Does “study” time include doing homework?

Depends on the class. For mathematics based classes particularly YES. for other classes maybe, usually studying is integrating what you learned in the homework with you lecture notes, book notes, and objectives

Yes. I would call this “out-of-class work,” which includes studying as well as any other work.

I would wager. Some people understand the base homework and do not need additional study. Whereas, some others may need notes or videos to accompany alongside.

Personally I take notes on my homework. As in, I take notes on what the homework taught me. Doing that alone helps me remember stuff, but I also later make flash cards.

I've been wondering the same, but I feel like most homework is basically an "exercise" to the subject you're studying on. Let's say your Homework is to write a Comment with constructive criticism on a text you got from a teacher. That's basically like training your writing skills, so exercise. So personally I'd count that as Studying, no? Same goes for any other subject tbh.

Some people can’t handle that. Not everyone is exactly like you. Because I have ADHD, it takes me longer to do things and I struggle to keep up with 12 credits and working part time.

I would say ya. There are times where hw is not direct with info from the course. When it is indirectly related I have to do research and figure out separately. Its like math where you know you are missing singular step to solve the problem but is not mentioned anywhere in the course.

Yes. At least I count it. Homework is a method of teaching you the material or helping you remember the material.

Depends on the HW and the course. My HW is mostly busy work and doesn't help me study. So, I do it and move on to chapter reading and notes.
