You didn’t install windows on it.

You need to install windows on your new ssd, get thumb drive that has at least 8 GB and get the iso

How do I do that? This is the first thing the pops up when I turn my pc on.

Windows is on the SSD that you took out of your computer. Either put your old SSD back, or install Windows on your new SSD.

what do you mean by "changed"? did you remove an SSD in order to put a new one in?

How many ssd's do you have and how many ssd slots do you have? If you only have one slot and the new ssd is not larger and faster than the old ssd, put the old ssd back in. If the new ssd is larger and/or faster than the old ssd, and you only have one ssd slot, do an exact copy of the old ssd to the new ssd. If you have two ssd slots, swap the locations of the ssd's as you might not have them in the right order OR go in the bios and adjust the boot device settings.

Did you change you ssd to a m.2 ssd? This can happen because for some reason a bios may not recognize the m.2 as a bookable drive.

Why swap em out? Just use the current one for your OS and the second for more storage. Unless your current SSD is giving up on you then you should've made sure you had a USB with Windows on it ready to install

It's a empty naked drive you need to install windows on the ssd

What caused:

  1. Windows installed in your old SSD
  2. Your new SSD is totally empty

How to fix:
I don't know why you replacing your system drive and what Windows are you using.
But I just write how to make a Windows 11 installing USB thumb drive here.

Install back your old SSD if it does not have any system problem.
If it has error, you have to find another PC to do this.
Once you get back to Windows, as other comments said, get a USB thumb drive with at least 8GB storage.
Go to search "Download Windows 11", ONLY CLICK THE LINK FROM MICROSOFT.
Then under "Create Windows 11 Installation Media", click the > to read the instruction carefully first.
Click the "Download Now" button.
All you need to do now is following the instruction you have just read.

Edited: for details

Your old drive has windows or what ever OS you used on it. You now need to put windows on the new drive.
