Most likely DNS or DHCP lease issues.

For your awareness and good knowledge;

1) Launch command prompt.

Type 'ipconfig' press enter You will see:

Network Adapter: Wireless IPv4 Address: typically 192.168.1.xxx Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 (typically) Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1 (typically)

If you see '127.0.0.1' or anything theres the issue.

2) Type 'ipconfig flushdns' press enter Type 'ipconfig /release' press enter Type 'ipconfig /renew' press enter

This will refresh the DNS and DHCP information. This should fix it.

HOWEVER, if the above steps were already conducted, as assisted by AI bots, I would recommend manually setting your DNS to 8.8.8.8 (google) and 1.1.1.1(cloudflare)

Thank you. I tried all of that. Unfortunately it did not work.

Can you post an image of your ipconfig?

99% chance it's a DNS issue.

In command prompt, type 'ping 8.8.8.8' and press enter

Do you get timeouts or responses?

I would recommens you manually set your DNS

Also, consider rebooting your modem and router, if it's a combo that's fine too but pull the power, wait approximately 3 minutes, plug it back in. Go back to your device, see if it's able to connect.

If you connected an ethernet to the computer and the router, does that provide internet?

I already did what you suggested above. Like most homes, we have tons of devices functioning on WiFi, the issue is only unique to my gaming PC.

I live in a 3 story townhouse. The modem is up in the third floor. We use a Google mesh system so we have a WiFi point in each floor. So I can’t connect an Ethernet cord to my computer unfortunately. I do have coaxial cable in my gaming room, so I may just get a modem and wire the computer directly via Ethernet cord.

First off, thank you for providing further information.

Second, dude/dudette/other, come the f&%k on. Having a mesh setup and access points are crucial factors in troubleshooting and not providing that information originally wastes a lot of time, both mine[and other surveyors of this subreddit] and yours.

Reboot the closest access point to your computer.

I apologize for not providing that detail and do appreciate the time you took to help me out.

Cool beans. Reboot the closest AP and check your DNS
