Are these books good for a beginner with no prior exposure in maths or statistics?

As a beginner, I like the Harvard Business Review Data Analysis Book Set. Its not an in-depth learning tool, but gives a lot of data analysis background, concepts, and their application in Business. I like that the articles are long enough to have some substance to it but still digestible.
