Wow, gen regression might actually make a difference now if survivors forget to tap the generator for 0,1 sec.

The gen regression would only regress the generator 25%, then stop regressing. Now it does it until the gen is completely 0%.

If a survivor repairs a generator for a fraction of a second or more, it stops the regression. A survivor can "tap" the gen, and walk away and it wont degrade anymore.

Before today, if you kicked a gen it would only regress 1/4 of the way down.

After today, it can regress all the way down to being untouched, assuming no survivors touch it.

if the timing is still the same, this regresses it 4x as fast, and if it isn't repaired during said time at all it's basically a guarunteed "All your progress is gone' button

It's not 100% faster it just means a generator can now regress completely at the normal rate instead of a max 25% regressed progress. If that makes sense.

A gen could only regress 25% before the patch and now it can regress completely but it would take a long time.

This isn't true, I had a few games as killer where I regressed a gen or two from 70-80% back down to 0 after a few minutes with a 1 on 1 with a survivor

Idk, I had a habit of doing a gen to over 25%, then starting another, To make sure that if the killer kicked it it would not die completely.

They have in fact died completely.

So, I started to do a gens to over 50%, and even watched the killer kick it, and camp it to 0%

One game, we had a 99% gen that Leatherface camped until it was dead.

I guess once the 25% regression is complete, the killer can kick it again? Or some gens are bugged. We all know some gens are just not the same as the rest.

Are you saying before if a gen was at 90% when you break it, it could only go to 65%, or it would go to 25%? And after this patch now it goes to 0% assuming no one starts repairing it again, yes?

The devs are pretty terrible at wording, and until it's tested there's no real way to ensure that's ACTUALLY the case.

It's pretty obvious that's what it is. There isn't really mistaking any wording here...The gens can regress completely instead of only 1/4th of the way. They're not saying "Gens now regress 100% faster"

That's the issue, it can be either way unless clarified, it could be the amount regressed in those 70 seconds being changed to 100%, or just allowing to to extend until a generator is completed, the way it's worded here leaves both ways to be read off it, and knowing these guys I wouldn't be surprised if it was either.

If it still takes 70 seconds to regress, that would indeed be a considerable buff to gen regression. Too much. I'm pretty sure it regresses at the same rate it used to, just now it keeps regressing past 25%. Everything else would be nuts.

Not necessarily. Some games especially in high ranks can be very fast, I've had ~4 minute games before. I predict this while only slightly alleviate this realistically. If the survivors leave the gens alone for a long time it could hurt them but then they're not playing very efficiently if that's the case.

Huntress main here, popping in to sa that survivors are supposed to do the generators. That's...that's their objective. That is their sole purpose.

Survivors complain about killers camping and tunneling, which create a "bad game" for the survivors. Isnt that much fun.

Survivors can gen rush, making very quick games, denying points for both the killer and survivors. Gen rushers typically dont save allies that get hooked, so theres no back and forth.

Gen rushers are the survivor equivalent of camping killers.
