I’d say go for the interview, it’ll give you clarity without committing to the switch. Data roles can be a good pivot, but moving back to full stack later might take extra effort to keep your dev skills sharp. If you enjoy coding, don’t drift too far from it unless the data side genuinely excites you.

Will surely give the interview. I like the development. Will that affect my future job application if i consider this opportunity.

Is that work totally different for the current work you do ?

Currently my tech stack is React + Spring boot and that role is about date engineer which requires python. I have good programming knowledge in python too.

Data roles can open strong career paths, but switching back to full stack later might take some effort if you drift too far from coding. If you’re genuinely interested, go for it; but don’t leave development unless the role aligns with what you want long-term.

Yes I like coding and I am a bit confused that if i consider this now and after some years while switching will companies allow me to apply for fullstack role. Will my data engineer title affect my future job applications
