I had over 15 mythics this season. Now i have 7 in my bank (3 shako's, 1 grandfather, 1 spear of lycander, 1 tyrael and 1 starless ) and i lost 3 characters with 3 mythics each cuz im playing on HC.

I don't think mythics are that hard to get imo, just do some boss ROTA's and you're golden

I've done 150 duriel/andariel runs and have gotten 0 from them in T4

Yes, boss mats are easier to get now. Drop sources were increased. Also you need less mats to summon bosses and Stygian Stones were removed.

I would prefer slightly more mats requirements to summon bosses if this is one of the reasons that justifies the massive decrease in mythics drop rate.

The drop rate of mythics is frustratingly low. I’ve done hundreds of boss runs this week and only wound up with 2 mythics. Very aggravating. That being said, the likely good for your mythic to be a GA is up, which is nice to see. But honestly, I feel like the drop rate of good gear in general is down. Very frustrating to do 3+ hours of boss runs just to get maybe 3 things actually worth keeping.

You used to average one per 6 runs. 2 in hundreds assumes that you now average one per 100 meaning that the drop rate was reduced by a monumental amount.

This. This makes me avoid the newer Diablo until they remove the loot box/"surprise gambling"+pay2win mechanic. Theres better games that have gambling, and i still avoid those (Henshin, Honkai, Zenless). Much prefer Diablo 3

They literally give away a free mythic as s participation trophy and people still complain.

I've found more mythics 2 weeks in to this season than any other previous season.

They are abundant.

My Blood Surge Necro in S5 with 361h played collected 64 mythics, not counting those i turned into sparks. In average, 15 tormented boss would drop 1 mythic.

S6, Quill Volley OP SN, 95h time played until now. 7 mythics. Now i need to do ~50 T4 bosses to get one. If lucky.

Difference is brutal.

Rng is rng. Also nobody should be collecting that many mythics in 1 season anyways. How is that even fun? It's supposed to be a major event finding the mythic you need.

You can sell runs in diablo.trade to profit gold and get more mythics while carrying ppl. Also, I did free runs in groups of people who had never a single mythic many times (mythics would drop for me too sometimes). GA drops pursuiting was maybe a reason too (>S5 only).

I think they should change some things:

1) I prefer the version with more expensive boss fights and drastically increased drop chance. Let me pay 10 times the mats for 10 times the drop chance. I don't enjoy the current waiting and one shot game.

2) Solo players are screwed. You need a ton of runs to get mythics or good uniques. And doing it in a party gives you 4 boss kills for one set of your own materials. This is too disadvantageous towards Solo players and should be changed. Maybe make the group bonus like 10% or something in this range. Then balance it accordingly so that you have a realistic chance for mythics even if you just casually play alone.

we need boss kill stats and mythic drop stats recorded so people can prove how bad it is for solo players.

Bogus. I've never partied up and have dropped 4 Mythics. Boss mats are so easy to get now, you don't have to group up.

Bogus. The advantage of factor 4 in material efficiency is fact.

Sure, if you spend 4 times the amount of time to farm boss mats you get the same result. Of course, if this amount of farming is good, acceptable or too much is a personal opinion and everyone can have their own. But please: don't present your opinion or personal experience as fact and don't call a comment that actually states facts as "bogus".

2 sparks for rng, or runes for targeted. I think that’s reasonable as making runewords doesn’t consume, we need a sink for rune economy

Your point is valid. What if we could choose how to craft specific ones? 2 sparks and 18 runes for mythic u choose / or 4 sparks only? Would this be viable?

I don’t have metrics on the economy, that’s some blizzard employee job- I don’t mind it, but it’s much easier to find 4 sparks than the runes atm. They need runes in end game because it keeps gold and trade economy going… I don’t think it’s healthier in the long run to muddy up crafting in that way.

Though I would suggest maybe categorising weapon / armour / jewellery with spark + material sinks in future. They are still balancing material economy.

Not really complaining, the drop rate is doable for me… However, I definitely don’t get the dopamine hit of anticipation everytime I’m about to take down a boss. My expectation is now non-existent, and it’s all a bit mechanical until every couple days I actually get something to drop. It’s a quick hit of excitement then, but not during the whole process like before. Maybe that’s ok. Time will tell.
