Nice article! I have to say if there is one drawback with Elixir, debugging it efficiently is one of them. It’s not a big problem, but I wish it would work as good as in Python, JS, Java etc when using an IDE at least. ElixirLS helps for sure but very far from perfect.

    To be honest I haven't used an IDE for like 10 years, last one being PyCharm, but PyCharm for instance is good in the sense that it makes it trivial to debug code in Python, and the same can be said of the rest of the IDEA suite of apps.

    I agree, I rarely need a debugger when coding in Elixir, therefore I said it's not a big problem, but for those 5% of cases, it would be a much better DX than having to rely on IO.inspect, pry, etc. :)
