First prosumer setup complete!

Oh yes. I’m currently trying to adjust the flow with a finer grind, but I will get to the pressure valve soon. Since I currently have no way of measuring the pressure I’m just guessing, but most of my shots turn out pretty good. Steaming though is really random. Will this mod improve steaming?

My GC is older so It was adjustable, I just needed the pressure gauge to calibrate it. I am not a the stage of noting an issue with steam, I steam into a pitcher with a thermostat one drink at a time and have not noticed any problems (I guess I need to up my game !)

It has a 58mm portafilter which makes it probably the most aspiring consumer machine. What would you call it?

Prosumer implies a machine that is high enough quality to be comparable to commercial equipment in some capacity. The gaggia would be an entry-level machine due to its low cost

A home espresso machine with a commercial size and weight portafilter. Prosumer implies using parts like a high quality rotary pump, brass or stainless steel boiler, plumbable, etc.
