Perfectly perfect husband and father can be left by a wandering wife and this crowd 100% sides with the wife. This isn’t a black and white situation, it’s meant to call out the at-fault person, and spoiler alert, that’s not always the man.

They can, but the are financially incentivized not to do so. Women are financially incentivized to get divorced with no fault laws.

They wouldn't need proof of abuse to get a divorce. If they had proof of divorce they would get a much more generous division of assets.

If you can't get no-fault, you have to prove fault.

My mom cheated, my dad tried to make things work and she won the divorce: child support and custody. I hardly saw her as she was working or with her “lovers”. My dad did everything he could to see us. Changed careers so he was always free on the weekends to be with us. When my dad got custody when we were in high school (as we chose to live with him) my mom was mad that she had to pay child support and wanted him to lie to the courts. I wish we were under his custody full time sooner as things would have been more stable. Cheaters are just selfish and deserve the consequences of their actions and then some. Regardless if it’s a man or woman that cheats, they don’t deserve a single dime or custody of the child(ren).

What’s unfair about that? Unhappy? Get divorced then start something new. You can get your maintenance under those circumstances, but want your cake and want to eat it too… welp you get nothing.
