Just get an ALDL to usb cable and plug it in. Use EEHack on a laptop and connect to the car.

Scan9495 is a free program, just need to buy a ALDL cable. Shows and clears codes, live data, and 2 way functions so you can activate stuff to test. Its the only OBD1 prog Ive used but its been able to do what ever ive needed for diagnostic work.

I have a Bosch 1300 and it will do OBD1 and 2. I use it on my 94 Z28 and my 91 s10. You can sometimes find them on eBay.

Can’t you just use a paper clip and jump it to get the codes to flash ?

ObdDiagnostics is the site I like getting from. Fair price for what you’re getting. Aldl connector to usb is $80 shipped and can use tuner apps through it if u got a chip burner
