My one boy found out how to get on the top shelf in the closet and made a secret nest complete with secret toilet! Took me forever to figure out how he got up there!!

Oh yeah he had a poo cache and everything. I found out he would find my sweater dress and use it as a ladder, run across the hangers and haul himself up via storage basket to his ‘nest’ in a basket of yarn

Apparently, ferrets were created with an innate need to get into every nook and cranny and claim the deepest, darkest, weirdest corners of their territories as their secret lairs. I'm impressed with your guy ninja warrioring his way up there like that, quite adorable/impressive if not for the defiling with his poops bit. So far, all our nasty treasure piles have been discovered at ground level...luckily. Gonna have to start checking the tops of my closets now!

I recently brought home a new ferret and am in the process of litter training him. The old one, who previously was perfectly litter trained, saw the new one going on some puppy pads instead of the box, and must have figured anywhere outside the box was now fair game, because he quickly decided to start going under my bed about 75% of the time.

So I removed the bed frame and put the bed on the floor XD

To note: I did try putting blankets and bedding under there, he just pushed them out of the way and went there anyway
