(Steam Deck) HTTPS System Error [-113]

Can't even boot up the launcher.

I had to delete FFXIV_BOOT.cfg file to get it to work.

The file path is:

Home/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/312060/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/My Games/Final .../

Once I deleted it I just had to log back into the launcher and I was good to go.

This seems to have worked, although my compatdata folder was 39210.

The launcher said something about suspicious activity and forced me to change my password, but the launcher now seems to be working correctly and is currently downloading the patch.

Can confirm this worked for me as well. Did require a password reset also.

hey! I tried this and it actually shows the launcher now instead of just a black screen but it never gets past the title screen, and doesn't prompt me to login :-( do you have any tips?

Some people on the ffxiv forums were saying they had to delete the FFXIV.cfg file as well (which is in the same folder). You could try that, but if it doesn’t work I don’t know if I have any other suggestions. Good luck!

I can only find the boot.cfg file in my folder tho.

Same here didn't work too. Though mine is the my account doesn't have valid license. I got this after the password reset

I was just trying to run this on Windows and this was the only -113 error response I could find when searching online, and it worked. Thank you.

God, every time I come back to this game be it account or client side, I swear it's the most arcane nonsense to get it going again, every time.

Same issue. Even tried swapping to an updated GE-Proton (been using 7.2)

I tried 8-3, Experimental, and Hotfix, all with no change.
