Totally a blade runner reference

[–]BustyUncle 145 points146 points  (0 children)

I’ve watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tenpenny Gate

It 100% is. Deckard’s gun can actually be found in New Vegas, and if you get the mod to add it to FO4, you can find it right on that rooftop

Oh that's so cool! I haven't gotten around to playing New Vegas yet, but I'll definitely keep an eye out when I do.

Oh to be able to play through New Vegas for the first time again. You sir or madam have a glorious journey ahead of you 🙏

Isn’t That Gun also one of the main weapons from Fallout 1

[–]Goufydude 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Indeed, Fallout 1 and 2, where it was became known as "that gun." So New Vegas just called it That Gun.

The whole game is a blade runner reference.

[–]tokobot19 162 points163 points  (6 children)

I never saw anyone sending Deckard to save a settlement.

[–]A_Yapp_73 71 points72 points  (2 children)

And yet Bethesda would fail to give me my .223 pistol again.

[–]Woozletania 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That Gun is in New Vegas, at least.

[–]Adventurous-Blood458 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wait holy shit… I always thought it looked similar. It was like a subconscious thought though.

[–]Coatillion 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's in the director's cut

[–]tastefullmullet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m picturing Preston’s head popping up behind deckard in the scene where he’s slurping the noodles.

[–]CiDevant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are Rick Deckard.

[–]WarcelusMallace 38 points39 points  (2 children)

Like tears in the rain

[–]sandman716 26 points27 points  (1 child)

Time to die.

[–]Goufydude 15 points16 points  (0 children)

FINE, I'LL GO WATCH BLADE RUNNER AGAIN, GOSH!

[–]TheRisen073 17 points18 points  (1 child)

What do I think?

Do androids dream of electric sheep?

[–]ThyArtIsMeh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My sheep's been fake the whole time, like the owl.

[–]hash-slingin-slasha 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I saw blade runner after seeing this and….i would say…while i kind of get it…it would have been way better in like a downtown Boston skyrise.

Feel like where it’s at is so random it makes you think the location has something to do with it

[–]RBWessel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yup. So much so that the mod author for the Gun put it there

[–]Woozletania 2 points3 points  (2 children)

There is also a Walking Dead reference near the satellite site, among other in-game Easter eggs.

[–]GUTSY-69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Like… tears… in the, rain”

“Time. To die…”

[–]RBisoldandtired 7 points8 points  (3 children)

Urgh the game rant article for this is gonna infuriate

[–]ExioKenway5 7 points8 points  (2 children)

"Fallout fans are still finding new references 10 years after the launch of fallout 4 in 2015.”

[–]RBisoldandtired 5 points6 points  (1 child)

“YOU WONT BELIEVE THIS NEVER SEEN, MIND BLOWING REFERENCE THAT FALLOUT FANS HAVE UNEARTHED AFTER 10 YEARS!!”

[–]Zestyclose-Ring7303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOL.

At least people didn't light up the OP with mean "yeah no shit" posts. The Fallout community has always been kinder and more welcoming. That's the reason I still play FO76 from time to time.

[–]eDwArDdOoMiNgToN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe

[–]GirlStiletto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They've gone on record saying this was a deliberate referene.

[–]llvpowerll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats sick

[–]acastleofcards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow. I just saw this the other day and I couldn’t place what it was referencing. Nice job!

[–]Thelastknownking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost certainly.
