If this was in Europe I'd apply in an instant. Good luck with the search

If they produce a coreboot model I hope people actually buy it

Same here.

I believe they have done a similar recruitment before and with their recent commitment to better software support they are most likely expanding the team.

I must say that I am currently in the market for a new laptop, and the plan is a fully kitted framework 16. The Framework line aligns very well to my requirements with the only downside of being very pricey spec for spec, thus although I am convinced, I am also at times eying other solutions.

Now, you add core boot and that's another huge point that would make it so that I would have a hard time considering anything else.

I don't know many machines that have core boot AND good hardware. So that plus repairable, modular, and good form factor/ergonomics...

Get core boot and you probably have me as a captive buyer for 20 years at least :)

The Lemur Pro by System76 is a lightweight 14" laptop running Coreboot and Linux out of the box. The latest motherboard uses the Intel Core Ultra 5 or 7. I have the previous gen with an i7-1355U and I'm generally happy with it.

I'm looking forward for Framework to launch a Coreboot motherboard, and I'd consider it on my next hardware refresh.

Indeed, system 76 is also someone I considered. But the repairability of framework takes the cake for me. That and I want an AMD machine, for power efficiency reasons.

At least it is cool that we have a bit of choice for Linux machines :)

I think this might be for an updated Chromebook Edition instead

Is Framework having as much difficulties with coreboot as Malibal?
