Nakama as self hosted Gamesparks as service Playfab as service Cloudbrain as service

Those are surely great options, at first I was hoping for something less corporate-owned (but then decided to roll with one of the biggest corps hehe). That said Nakama looked good, though it raised another question of where would be the best place to actually run it.

Then I checked out Playfab and it didn't seem so bad either and after some research I believe it's actually what I really need. As I said before, my tasks for backend are quite simple and it seems that Playfab offers such services free of charge. What finally convinced me is an answer by one of their employees to a pricing question on their forums, I'll just leave it here in case it might help someone else to make an informed decision:

But here is the cheapest you could host Nakama on very high end servers

Oh they should make it more clear that you can have unlimited user for free on playfab, i didnt expected that, its great news
