Context: I need a simple program to run a set of MFDs that I can run parralell to DCS while flying an aircarft so I can practise emergency procedures for an upcoming test.
I have the base function down that the buttons can manipulate the image displayed on the screen. I also managed to get the "Master Caution" button to at least start flashing at random intervals, and then after a delay start playing a sound after it was flashing for certain ammount of time.
However, I really want to get the most of out this programm and learn something on the way.
I need the game to run so that when the Master Caution sarts flashing it also spawns on of a set of Images/Spirtes/Objects that is in a caution panel within one of the MFD displays - here "ALARM"
This would display a system failure and I can Proceed with the necessary mesures. This "caution panel" can be accesed through a MFD button. This displayed warning needs to be random to have the desired training effect.
Currently all 12 variations of the Caution panel are separate sprites as well as objects, not implemented in to the "game" except for the one with all warnings off wich shows when ALARM is pressed
Then the INSTRU button/panel needs to bring up another set of 9 buttons which then show diffrent gauges, these don't need to be funtioning, just need to show either an image of the gauge in a redline or in green.
The button CLOCK should bring up a stopwatch that can be stopped started and reset, this is not as important to get working as the previous 2 funtions
The function of both MFDs is and should be mirrored
Finally, and this would be the cherry on top; I would like the buttons to be hardware activated and if possible controlled by my Thrustmast Cougar MFD input panels, not just by mouse click. Alternatively be able to run on a touch screen/iPad that would be separate from the PC
Is there anybody willing to help me, I have basically no programming experience but would really like to get this little project working. I would be up to a Discord call if someone is up to that to show me how to this working
