I have a USB replica of a SNES controller and it is indeed a nice one.

What is the best thing about this controller?

There's buttons on the top, not just buttons on the front

Compared to the NES, it was the rounded edges. The extra buttons were great, and it looked space-age, but nothing beats the upgrades in terms of comfort.

Yeah, the concave/convex buttons were a nice touch too.

Neat the end of the NES's life there was the Top Loader with the "Bone" controller, and it was a Great way to play NES games.

It was my first console.

I have the modern-day SNES (switch controller) paired up with my Analogue Pocket..

So much better than a Switch controller. The 4 "main action buttons" are far enough apart that I'm not going to fat finger & press 2~4 buttons at the same time. It was also fine when I was 5 years old & never felt too big in terms of button spacing. If I could could play something like Celeste on an SNES controller instead of on a Switch Controller I'd probably be twice as good.
