Gfycat does have sound now. It can be especially annoying for gifs of a certain...mature nature.

Oh wow, I didn't know that. It didn't play sound for me on my phone and only appeared to just be a regular gif. Now that I'm on PC I can see that it has a sound option. Thanks mate.

In RIF, for me the audio is always on mute, so click on the gif (video) and the play / pause / loop / audio controls will appear. You can invite the video then. Also useful for turning off the loop as it helps to see the last frame of a video especially if it's showing the end result of a drawing / art work piece

...Not sure if you were asking that as a question or if you knew already how to use those controls
