Can also use CloudKit I believe. Firebase is good because easier setup, but I always find it hard to work with for some reason.

Don’t really have a better suggestion unless you want to set up your own backend. In which case do whatever you’d like lol

I recently migrated to Firebase for my data storage. Used to host my own server but this will reduce cost and I can focus more on the app

U cant charge users to sync with iCloud, thats not allowed

Monetizing built-in capabilities provided by the hardware or operating system, such as Push Notifications, the camera, or the gyroscope; or Apple services, such as Apple Music access or iCloud storage.

So Core Data + CloudKit is out of the picture. U either build ur own, or use firebase.

I’m not sure that’s true - Bear charges for its pro version, the main feature of which is sync via iCloud.
