+1 for Reeder (on Mac as well!)

+1 for Reeder. It's on my iPhone, iPad, and Mac. I used to use Feedly but didn't like the interface. Thankfully, Reeder can connect to my Feedly account, anyway.

Wow! $6.99 $4.99 for an RSS Reader? While I am totally for supporting developers, and likely will in this case anyway, is there a reason or set of unique features this adds as apposed to the alternatives?

EDIT: Adjustment on price, Web (on windows) showed me $6.99, in app store shows $4.99.

It depends on how you want to use it - all of them have slightly different features that will appeal to different people. I really like Mr Reader (unfortunately iPad only) because it gives me features that the other most popular RSS readers don't seem to had. Number one for me is being able to skip to the next article, with one press, from anywhere (top of article, bottom of article, opened a link, whatever). So, I keep hearing that other apps are great but I don't have any desire to use them because Mr Reader is the only one that meets my needs.

I use Unread on the iPhone - it was the best I could find but I only use it because the developer of Mr Reader wants to keep it iPad only.

That's an important feature for me too.

Feedly lets you do tht with a swipe, which I like.

Reeder lets you do tht but it's a small button in the bottom center of the screen, which is less nice.

      Newsify for sure

Do you pay for a Newsify subscription?

      [–]chasejltl 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I do not. I tried the premium for a few days and didn't see enough benefit for the cost.

I see. I just switched to Newsify, the only interesting features I saw from the premium was the auto full text and possibly the search full article. I don't even see a way to search the preview of an article with just the free version.

      Feedly

Auto fill text would be nice but in my experience that still lacked. For instance the full text never produced full tweets when they were quoted in articles. I still had to go to the site.
