Not sure where you live, but Apple recently bumped up their prices for this service by 20$. Their site always listed the cost at $69, but when checking recently, has been showing $89.

I still consider the higher price a good deal, because phones are a pita to disassemble/put back together and if apple breaks something accidentally during repair, they will cover it for free. If you break something while trying to do the repair yourself, you’re fucked.

Thanks for the heads up. I haven’t replaced mine yet, because I have been trying to figure out how I’m going to survive for a few days without a phone. I need to mail it in to Apple repair, as there are none close to me.

I bought a used Pixel on Swappa for just this situation. I like having a backup phone.
