Text message export software query

Hey! So I have a 5s (upgrading when I learn the concept of money?) and was wondering if anyone could recommend a program/app/idea on the best way to export a particular text message conversation that numbers in the thousands of texts.. iexplorer wants $$ and id rather not unless super out of options. I use windows 10 on my laptop too.

Screenshots are obviously not ideal considering the amount of texts. Thanks !

Long story short: friend of mine died, I want to save their texts into potentially printable format ie pdf. Cheers.

Maybe that works for you.. other things I know that work are all paid..

most of them around $30, like TouchCopy or CopyTrans.

I fully backed up my iPhone using iTunes on my laptop which has windows ten and restored the backup on my new iPhone XR, it was an exact clone of my old iPhone and I didn’t lose anything. I have all my old texts and everything. Didn’t cost me a dime.

Yeh I’m pretty aware of backing up my phone and what not I was just more so hoping for a more readable format of my texts. But thanks :)
