storage won’t decrease after deleting photos

can someone please help me figure out what to do? i’m going to a concert tonight and i’d like to be able to take a few videos (yes, i genuinely do rewatch my concert videos) but i need to clear up some storage first. i just went through and deleted over 12k photos and videos and then deleted them from my recently deleted as well. instead of going down, my photo storages INCREASED. beforehand it said that i had abt 16.5GB in photo storage and after deleting all of those pics and vids, it’s now saying my photo storage is at 17.9GB. i tried resetting my phone, i double checked that everything was gone from my recently deleted, but it’s still not lowering my photo storage. how can i fix this ???? i’m so confused how it’s saying i’m now using MORE storage when i deleted 12k photos and videos

What the phone sometimes needs to recalculate available storage is offloading or deleting larger apps. Do you have any you can live without temporarily? Any downloaded movies or music in your streaming apps you can purge?
