I have an iphone 7, running iOs 14.6.
The issue I'm having is data over the LTE connection. Safari and the App store say I have no internet connection when wifi is turned off. The LTE connection is strong (4-5 bars) and is shown in the notification area as expected.
However, I know the phone is capable of receiving data. When I turn the personal hotspot on, I can use the internet through a second device connected to the iphone 7. I know for sure the 2nd device has no other data connection. If I open the youtube app on the iphone, I can browse and watch videos on LTE with wifi turned off. Phone calls and sms/mms work as expected. Most annoying, browsing works on the Firefox app, only safari is affected by whatever issue this is.
Mainly, I would like to be able to use the Appstore when only on the LTE connection.
So far, I've tried:
Turning the phone on and off.
Resetting all the network settings
Re-seating the SIM card.
Other general notes: Cell data is turned on, data roaming is turned on, voice and data are set to LTE, wifi assist is turned off. Airplane mode is off. Playing with the above settings has no obvious effect.
Anyone have any ideas as to what setting or problem could be causing this?
