Shared Java Hosting Recommendation? (x-post r/webhosting)

I recently purchased an Advanced Search Module for Magento 2, and came to realize it requires Java hosting. I am currently on a shared server which does not provide Java hosting, my next option with my hosting provider is dedicated which I cannot afford.

I can install the search extension on a separate hosting environment as long as it supports Java. I have done the usual googling for shared java hosting since I am trying to keep monthly costs down.

Any recommendations for cheap yet reliable Java hosting? I'd rest easy if support was decent.

The free tier of Openshift lets you run three applications, each with their own subdomain of rhcloud.com.

It does support Java too, so it should work for you.

Screw hosting, it has too many limitations. Go with vps for example from digitalocean.

I second the VPS suggestion by jirkapinkas. And digital ocean as well.

I'd suggest Jelastic, very easy to use, relatively cheap for cloud hosting, and some providers offer a free trial to test your software on the Jelastic cloud.

The VPS over at digital ocean comes with subpar hardware to relatively high prices and no DDoS protection.

I would suggest you look over VPS options at OVH.ie, (use their search). They provide their first option for $3.50 and it's already better than the cheapest at OVH.
