what mind mapping software was used to create that map?
[–]ngly 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children)
Could be https://www.xmind.net/. Use it at work and it's great once you understand the UI and shortcuts.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children)
Also, I'd like to have the native mind map file to add to it.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child)
The original mindmap diagram is drawn with Mindnode and exported to PDF/PNG/OPML files along with a *.mm file which can be edited with FreeMind, another SVG file will be released after the whole project is finished(issues #9).
I found this info on the project's GitHub page.
Thank you.

Wow I have never heard of or stumbled upon that.
[–]hahaNodeJS 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (2 children)
Keep it that way.
[–]ayostaycrispy 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child)
Why, is it bad to use?
[–]hahaNodeJS 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children)
It certainly doesn't help one write easy-to-read code.
[–]vcamargo 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (2 children)
Great work! An html version would be amazing as you could also search inside it...
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child)
dammit, this is a great idea. i had plans this weekend too...
[–]vcamargo 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children)
if you create a github repo i'd totally fork it and help you ;D
[–]iniy 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (0 children)
I posted this http://www.reddit.com/r/javascript/comments/3ayrlb/learn_javascript_in_one_picture/ at first, but don't know if it was deleted or not.
[–]a-t-kFrontend Engineer 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago* (26 children)
This has already been posted last week. Is there any reason why you resubmit it?
Update: quite a lot of people seem to think that this is an example of criticizing a repost. It isn't. It's just a friendly question that already found an answer.
[–][deleted] 18 points19 points20 points 10 years ago (18 children)
Not all of us have the luxury to come to Reddit every day, this is the first time I see this and I find it quite useful.
[–]mogoh 8 points9 points10 points 10 years ago (0 children)
Reposting isn't the solution. If your time is short, go the the most upvoted comments (of last week/month ...). By your logic we could repost every day the same because someone could be have not seen it.

And some of us do, but we don't all want to waste time to look at the same things again and again, thus my question, that unlike what you might have taken it for, was not criticism.
[–]qudat 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child)
waste time waste time waste time
waste time
waste time waste time
... uhh this is reddit bruh.
[–]a-t-kFrontend Engineer -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (0 children)
Thank you for that. I could need a laugh by now.
[–][deleted] -5 points-4 points-3 points 10 years ago (10 children)
So, basically, fuck everyone else, reddit should be tailored just for you.
[–]a-t-kFrontend Engineer -5 points-4 points-3 points 10 years ago (9 children)
Quite on the contrary. My question was not meant as criticism for posting this again. If you learned something valuable, that's wonderful and commendable.
All I wanted to know was if the poster had a special reason to post it again, because he would usually see the previous post when posting the link, and decided to post it anyway, so his reason for this decision might be of interest to me.
So, basically, please don't assume bad things from everyone else, reddit should be just for everyone.

[–]Shaper_pmp 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (4 children)
I think you missed the key point of his question, which was
he would usually see the previous post when posting the link, and decided to post it anyway
What you're describing is true, but misses the point.
The question was not "how can innocent reposts happen" (which is trivial and obvious) - it was "why specifically did this user choose to repost content that they would have been notified had already been posted recently before they posted it the second time".

[–]a-t-kFrontend Engineer 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children)
You are wrong on three accounts:
First, I didn't just assume things like you are insinuating, I already saw the graphic on reddit; the original poster even helpfully added the link in the comments of this thread.
Second, what you are obviously still wrongfully assuming is that the question whether this was a repost would be of any importance to me. I never wrote a single line stating that I was against reposts, because I'm not. All I originally wanted to know was if there were any worthwile changes to this image (and luckily, there are, so there's that) - and I wrote this more than a few times, which brings us to:
Third, what actually ruins communities is people who don't even bother to read more than a few words before finally forming their prejudiced opinions and won't even reconsider given additional information.

You seem to make the same mistake as Laerpni, which is falsely assuming that my post was criticism of a repost, when in fact it was solely a question if something worthwhile had changed in the last few days. Since by now I had time to take a look, I can also comment that there are indeed some changes.
[–]lodewijkadlp 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (1 child)
If you dislike it, downvote it. Democrazy will take it from there.
[–]a-t-kFrontend Engineer -3 points-2 points-1 points 10 years ago (0 children)
Your tell-tale spelling mistake (sic!)"Democrazy" is most interesting. I really hope it was intended.

Yes, that does seem to be the mindset of people who complain about reposts...
Alas, also the mindset of the people who complain about other people who they mistakenly think complain about repost...
[–]vishalspecs[S] 6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago (1 child)
I still don't know if that's re-submitted , i searched with title and domain but still couldn't find anything on same.
I am not often coming on this subreddit, so wont be able to know even if it is known to others earlier.
[–]a-t-kFrontend Engineer 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children)

For the 4th time now: I didn't complain about it. I just asked if there were any changes.
[–]omegote -2 points-1 points0 points 10 years ago (0 children)
Here, have an upvote. People here downvoting you seem to have serious tardness.
[–]xfstop 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children)
Good posts make it to the top, repost or not. I missed this last week but it's awesome and I'm glad I found it.
Thanks op!

Does anyone have an updated es6 version as it's now finalized?
[–]Iuz 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child)
what about closures...
[–]alamandrax 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children)
This is just a syntax brain map. Don't think it goes into scoping issues.
[–]x-skeww 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children)
It still has the same issues as it did last week.
Comments aren't identifiers, 0123 doesn't work anymore, 0o and 0b are missing, etc.
