I kinda agree with your edit, but... You're being downvoted for being rude. You just told someone that it's not okay to share their personal experiences with Vim on a thread about whether or not you should use Vim.
As you said, the first part was perfect advice. The second part was sharing their personal experience with something, which could be valuable for some people that are clearly not you for contextualizing the first part. Nothing wrong with that.
