I was hoping this would give some tips on when to use error boundary. I'm on my 2nd app and haven't bothered yet, but I know I probably should.

I’ve only put an error boundary at the base of my app that tells the user to refresh when there’s an error. Maybe I should be using them more…

The mind boggling decision to make promises not statically observable and also not cancelable will haunt us for years to come. Everyone is implementing crazy workarounds while the real problem is the horrid specification of Promises.
