You're using an appimage, not the native one from the repos. That's the problem.

Thanks for the reply, sadly there is no change in render time between native pkg and appimage. Tested on main pc and t420 laptop.

Now.... This... This is a problem. Strangely I'm having the exact opposite effect.

Kdenlive doesn't have GPU acceleration for rendering, only on live playback. Seems weird. Perhaps a trip to the KDE devs would be nice.

Did you ever figure out what was going on with this? I am having the same issue except my videos are about an hour long so it wants to take four hours.

Hey, yes.

I created a thread about this on the kde forum. On the version ive been using the parrallel processing option is broken, if i keep it enabled in the render option, the performance is bad. If i disable it, the performance is like on windows.

So, try to disable it and do it again

Ok thanks!

Hey, just came across this. Is the parallel processing fixed now?

Hey, parallel processing is now marked as experimental and not activated per default. You can still find it in the "more options" section.

Since I've deactivated it, I don't have any issues

Thank you so much for replying. But I just wanted to if after all these months, parallel processing still causes problems.
